aID
aID is Amedia’s identity and login solution used by Norwegian and Danish media sites. It lets users authenticate across participating newspapers and services, access paid content, manage profile information, and connect subscriptions or family/business access.
The service processes profile/contact data and technical information for account creation, authentication, operation, fraud prevention and service improvement. Amedia’s privacy notice also names Amedia Produkt og Teknologi AS, Redpill Linpro AS and Google Cloud Platform as infrastructure/IT providers for aID, so downstream infrastructure review may still be relevant.
This profile contains catalog information about the service and its recorded ownership. Request evidence from an individual StackPatrol scan is reported separately.
Detection signatures
StackPatrol attributes requests to this service when a hostname or URL matches one of these reviewed catalog patterns. A report shows the actual request separately.
aid.no*.aid.noOwnership and transfer review
The catalog classifies aID as EEA-owned, with Norway recorded as its country. The catalog records Amedia as the corporate parent. Ownership is a review signal, not evidence of the contracting entity, processing location or an international data transfer.
Review the applicable legal entity, DPA, processing locations and sub-processors. European ownership can narrow a transfer review, but it does not establish that all processing stays within the EEA.
