Frequently asked questions
Is StackPatrol a GDPR compliance tool?+
No. StackPatrol is a technical scanner. It helps you understand third-party services and data-residency signals. It does not certify GDPR compliance and does not provide legal advice.
Do you scan my whole site?+
In this MVP we scan your front page plus one additional internal page (typically a checkout, contact, pricing, signup or login page) to catch vendors that only appear deeper in the site. A full crawler is on our roadmap.
How is the EU Independence Score calculated?+
It starts at 100. We subtract 8 for each US-owned vendor, 10 for each Chinese-owned vendor, and 3 for each unmatched third-party domain (capped at -30 in total). The score card shows the full breakdown for every report. See the methodology page for details.
Do you store my scan?+
Not in the MVP. Each scan runs on demand and the result is shown directly in your browser.
Want a detailed report when we launch?
We’re working on PDF exports, monthly monitoring and alerts when new third-party services appear on your site. Drop your email and we’ll let you know.
