Scan nowFrequently asked questions
Can I switch plans at any time?+
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel from the Stripe billing portal, accessible from your dashboard. Changes take effect at the end of the current billing period.
Do I need an account to scan?+
No. Scanning is completely free and unlimited: no account, no credit card. Create a free account if you want your scan history saved to a personal dashboard.
What does weekly monitoring actually include?+
Every paid plan re-scans your monitored sites weekly and keeps a durable history: when each vendor was first and last seen, a timeline of additions, removals and score changes, and CSV/JSON export. Each run also fingerprints your privacy policy, cookie policy, DPA and terms — even on a parent-company domain — tracks their stated update dates, and detects content changes. If your vendor stack changes but a policy stays frozen, the email alert flags a possible documentation gap.
What is Consent Assurance / the disclosure gap?+
While we fetch your privacy policy, cookie policy and DPA, we also read them and compare what they name against the vendors your page actually loads. A vendor observed loading but missing from every document is surfaced as a possible disclosure gap — a finding about your own site that a visitor can't get anywhere else. It's text matching, so we err toward treating a vendor as disclosed and present each gap as a technical observation to review, not a legal verdict. Free scans show the count of possible gaps; paid plans name each vendor.
Does StackPatrol check whether “Reject all” actually works?+
Yes. On paid plans we open your site in a clean browser, click a “Reject all” (or “Only necessary”) control, then watch which vendors keep firing. If advertising or analytics vendors keep sending requests after the rejection, the banner isn't respecting it — and the report names each vendor that ignored it. We only count genuinely non-essential trackers, so a red verdict stays defensible; functional and infrastructure services are ignored. If we find a banner but can't confirm a working reject control, we say so rather than guess. It's a technical observation of real network activity, not a legal ruling. Monitoring re-runs this every week, so you get a timestamped alert the moment a banner stops respecting “Reject all” — and dated proof of exactly when it was fixed.
Why are agency plans more expensive than Pro?+
Pro is for an individual or a single in-house marketing team. Agency Starter, Agency and Agency Pro are sized for teams auditing many client sites every month. The price reflects the time saved per client review, not the number of scans.
What is the difference between Agency Starter and Agency?+
Agency Starter monitors up to 10 sites and is built for small agencies who want a predictable monthly cost. Agency monitors up to 30 sites, runs 20-page scans, and includes white-label PDF reports and client workspaces.
Is there a yearly discount?+
Yes. Pay yearly and you get 2 months free (about 17 percent off). The toggle above the plans switches all prices between monthly and yearly.
Are existing customers affected by price changes?+
No. If you are already on a paid plan, your price is locked for 12 months from the day pricing changed. You keep the same subscription unless you choose to change tier yourself.
How is payment handled?+
All payments go through Stripe. We never store your card details. You can cancel or change your plan from the billing portal at any time.
